Pricing potterys, answered

How much should I charge for handmade pottery?

Handmade mugs typically retail $28–$45. Beyond clay and glaze, split each kiln firing's cost (electricity, wear) across the pieces in it, and count trimming + glazing time — the wheel is the fast part.

How do I price in kiln losses?

If ~10% of pieces crack or the glaze fails, divide your costs by 0.9 — survivors carry the casualties. Track your real loss rate and adjust.
